Innovation vouchers can be used to fund an initial engagement between Strathclyde Business School and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) or third sector organisations including social enterprises based in Scotland.
Standard Innovation vouchers are funded by the Scottish Funding Council and provide funding for up to £5,000 – these vouchers effectively ‘buy’ academic time to work on a collaborative project. The involved business contributes an equal value in cash or kind – such as staff time, materials or equipment – or a combination.
Innovation vouchers could be used to support innovation to develop a new product, process or service; to develop the company’s workforce; or to address new challenges such as environmental sustainability or digitalisation.
Depending on business needs, there are also other types of Innovation vouchers – information on these can be found at Interface-online.
