David Cameron is an independent energy policy consultant, working primarily in renewables and low carbon energy, with clients in the UK and Ireland. David has gathered his experience from first of all over 20 years in the automotive sector and nearly 20 years in energy. Previously, he was Head of Scottish Policy for EDF Energy and EDF Renewables working in stakeholder engagement and government policy, including membership of Scottish Government’s Renewable Energy Strategic Leadership Group, Vice-Chair of Scottish Renewables Board and a board member of SCDI. David spent 21 years in vehicle development, mainly with Nissan, before moving to the energy sector, when he became Director of Policy at Scottish Renewables. David graduated with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and has an MSc in Renewable Energy from the University of Dundee.
