Kankana is a PhD student in politics within the School of Government & Public Policy at the University of Strathclyde. She is an experienced researcher with interests spanning many aspects of energy generation and consumption, economic diversification, energy productivity, and socioeconomic well-being.

Kankana recently managed the project development of the second edition of the World Green Economy Report, highlighting green job opportunities and relevant financial instruments to mobilize green finance. She is currently authoring an independent report on behalf of Scottish Power and Energy Network (SPEN), as part of SPEN’s Customer Engagement Group for OFGEM’s RIIO-ED2 price control.
