春节快乐!

I came home for the Spring Festival holidays to spend time with my family. My Chinese friends also returned home, which meant late night video calls and a ton of pictures of random things we thought the other would find interesting.

I got to spend Valentine's day with my boyfriend (who I brought back half a suitcase of Chinese and Japanese sweets for, and who my language partners were always so excited to see). I taught him how to use chopsticks, and dragged him to try Korean food; something that I've developed an addiction to in China.

I also managed to get snowed in twice while home, while my Chinese friends enjoyed lovely Chengdu and Kunming weather.

Despite the welcome holiday, I ended up really missing the routine of every day life in China (and it's convenience - I told everyone who would listen about 淘宝, the shopping app, Ofo, and WeChat Pay) so now that I'm back and settled in again, and able to have £3 pizza without getting changed out of my jammies, I have to work towards my HSK4 (hello, April!) and afterwards begin to work towards HSK5. Our final semester has started!
