CLCJ Review Published by the Scottish Sentencing Council

Strathclyde Law School's Centre for Law, Crime & Justice has completed an international review of the law, practice and evidence surrounding death and serious injury caused by driving offences. The Review has just been published by the Scottish Sentencing Council.

Dr Rachel McPherson and Professor Cyrus Tata (Centre for Law, Crime & Justice) were commissioned by the Scottish Sentencing Council to carry out the review, which examines the state of knowledge, practices and policy in Scotland and around the world.

The review will inform the Sentencing Sentencing Council’s consideration as it develops a sentencing guideline involving causing death by driving offences.

The literature review is available to view.
