NewsStrathclyde welcomes delegation from Shandong Normal University

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Strathclyde Business School and the Faculty of Science warmly welcomed a delegation from Shandong Normal University (SDNU) on Wednesday 22nd November.

The delegation from SDNU included the Chair of the University Council Professor Feng Jikang and colleagues from the College of Economics, College of Life Sciences, President's Office, Office of Science and Technology and Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.

Since 2017, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has maintained a fruitful collaboration with Shandong Normal University. This partnership has been particularly successful in the field of Law, with student exchange and faculty collaboration.

The focus of this recent meeting was to expand the collaboration between the two universities, with special emphasis on exploring new opportunities in Psychology, Economics, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Professor Ian Rivers, Vice Principal and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences also attended the meeting. He expressed a warm welcome to the delegation from Shandong Normal University and discussed opportunities for future collaboration.

The meeting concluded with a significant milestone - the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions by Professor Ian Rivers and Professor Feng Jikang, representing their respective universities. This MoU marks the formal expansion of collaboration between the University of Strathclyde and Shandong Normal University.
