The Careers Service requires students who are unwell with an infectious disease such as Covid-19, colds or flu to either:
- have their appointment virtually rather than in person,
OR
- reschedule for a time when they are no longer unwell.
This is in line with current (Aug 2022) Scottish Government Covid Sense guidance for students in Scotland and aims to protect the health and wellbeing of both staff and students.
If a student is too unwell to attend a virtual appointment then the Careers Service is committed to offering a rescheduled appointment as soon as possible within the available appointments.
The Careers Service is committed to offering a virtual alternative to any student who feels for whatever reason they would prefer this to an in person appointment.
Careers Consultants and CV Advisers have the right to refuse to see an apparently infectious student.
