Profile

I have a BSc degree (2010) in Physics, with a thesis in Cosmic Rays and an MSc in Physics with honours (with an Environmental specialization) with a thesis about extreme waves with a focus for the crossed sea state. Both of these degrees were obtained at the University of Turin (Italy). I have worked also as a journalist and a soccer trainer, and I currently have a collaboration with a blog in which I write about science.

My Ph.D. Project is about modelling the dispersion of shellfish larvae in the Firth of Clyde, building an oceanographic model with the open-source software FVCOM.

My research interests are tidal currents, wind-driven circulation, oceanographic models and waves; in particular waves in crossed sea state and rogue waves.
