Strathclyde University & College Union (UCU)

University and College Union (UCU) is the recognised union representing university teachers, researchers and professional staff in the administrative, library and computing services.

It is the merged union of the former Association of University Teachers (AUT) and the Association of Teachers in Further and Higher Education (NATFHE).

How to join

UCU is the largest post-school union in the world. We cover universities, colleges, prisons, adult education and other post-16 training providers and our membership includes academics, lecturers, teachers, trainers, instructors, researchers, administrators, managers, computer staff, librarians, postgraduate teaching assistants and other education professionals. Subscriptions

Current subscriptions are on a sliding scale according to salary.

There is also a local subscription which is calculated on a sliding scale. Please contact the Strathclyde UCU office (ucu@strath.ac.uk) for details.

Members can opt to pay their subscriptions by direct debit or personal cheque if paying quarterly or annually.

Members' address

Under Trade Union Legislation we need authority to send ballot and associated material to your work or home address. We prefer to use your work address if possible and ask you to give it in the form.
