We’re looking for passionate student content creators from all backgrounds and academic levels to bring our social media channels to life.

You’ll create content that informs and inspires both current and future students while developing valuable creative and professional skills.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for current Strathclyde students who:
- have a passion for social media and content creation
- have skills in photography, videography, and social media trends, particularly for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- know how to tell engaging stories that connect with students
- are confident in front of a camera and excited about university life
- have a proactive attitude and can generate new content ideas
- are willing to learn, take feedback, and try new things
- are reliable, committed, and able to meet deadlines
What you’ll do
As a Student Content Creator, you’ll:
- create short videos and photos for Strathclyde’s social media, website, and email campaigns
- host Instagram takeovers to showcase life at Strathclyde
- capture real-time content at university events throughout the year
- take part in filming and photography for digital and print campaigns
- generate creative content ideas to engage students
- stay on top of social media trends and features
Payment and training
You'll be paid £12.60 per hour.
Before starting, you’ll attend a training session to ensure you understand the role and expectations.

Step 1
Create a short 1-minute video introducing yourself and your interest in the role.
Step 2
Upload your video to YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, OneDrive, or WeTransfer and ensure the link is public.
Step 3
Complete the application form, including the link to your video.

UK passport holders: you’ll provide a copy of your passport.
Non-UK passport holders: a government right-to-work check will be conducted via the UK Visas & Immigration website.
