Strathclyde Business SchoolDubai trip

Dubai trip

To ensure all Business School students have the opportunity to experience international study, and following on from the success of previous study visits, the Business School are again offering students the opportunity to take part in the Dubai study visit.

This 8-night study visit gives students the chance to learn about Dubai and the region and how it works commercially. The study trip has no formal assignment attached to it and students will have a 2 credit class added to their curriculum, however this does not count towards their programme of study.

"To me, Dubai is a must visit, and the Strathclyde trip provides insights and experiences which no other trip could."

By the end of the study tour, students should:

  • Have obtained some general context about Dubai, the UAE and their strategic vision within the Middle East and the wider region
  • Have developed an understanding of the practice of doing business in a multi-cultural environment, and considered the implications in terms of useful competences for organisations and individuals to be successful in such an environment.
  • Through exposure to talent experts and individual managers, have developed an understanding of the common stages of international careers as well as having been exposed to individual stories.

Note: This is a 2 credit bearing class and will appear on your transcript, however this does not count towards your programme of study.
