Internships and placement projects

Our students are available to work with an organisation during their programme, either as general work experience or to work on a particular project. There are opportunities to work with students across all Business School disciplines and from different stages of their educational journey – from undergraduate to Masters and research students.

Some recent internships have included:

Marketing plan for a drone technology business
Social media strategy for a design consultancy
Future stakeholder analysis for a textile product development business
Data analysis for a luxury automobile maker
Digital transformation project for a Scottish local council
Modifying a UK car fleet predicting model

Marketing Works project

Marketing Works is a central part of the programme for all MSc degrees in the Department of Marketing. In this compulsory module, supervised by Marketing academics, students work in groups on real-life project put forward by various types of business. Human Resource Management Projects

Students in the Department of Work, Employment and Organisation are available to carry out projects and research for organisations as part of their course. Those studying our Human Resource Management degrees attend an organisation as if they were a consultant undertaking a specific HR project brief.

Management Science Apprenticeship scheme

The Management Science apprenticeship scheme forms a vital component of Business Analysis and Consulting. Through the scheme, many of our students spend an invaluable 3 weeks embedded in the analytical function of their host organisation.
