As a child I lived in various countries such as Bosnia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Kosovo. I’m someone who loves puzzles and games, and I like to play the piano in my free time.

How did you make the decision to study at Strathclyde?

I knew I wanted to go to university in Scotland, but ultimately chose Strathclyde because of its location in Glasgow, and its high reputation as a university of science.

What do you like about your course and Strathclyde?

I really like the chemistry department. They are extremely supportive and do their best to accommodate the needs of the students. The campus is green with lots of trees and some historical architecture, and the union provides a great place to take a break between classes.

Why did you choose to study chemistry?

I’ve always known I wanted to study chemistry, but part of what made me choose chemistry here was the way the Department tries to support students’ development in an industrial sense as well, with employability skills being a key part of the course.

What do you like most about chemistry?

The lecturers are great, and the chemistry department is organised. They try to balance the weights of various assignments in a way that supports the students, and exam preparation is well managed, with measures such as the one-page reference guide to support student revision and learning.

What are your ambitions for the future and how do you think your time at Strathclyde will help you achieve your goals?

While I’m not yet entirely sure what I want to do within chemistry, I believe that studying at Strathclyde will undoubtedly help me in any future chemical prospects, particularly due to the industrial placement year, which will help me establish connections and work skills with regards to the chemistry industry.
