Research Bio
This project seeks to research methods of modelling the effect of grid integration on wind farms through the use of the University of Strathclyde's in house software Strathfarm. The first step will be to design a power system model in Strathfarm which can be switched to for researching the effect of faults. The model will then be used to research the provision of ancillary services including frequency support at a wind farm level and to investigate whether wind farm or wind turbine control can be utilised to improve fault ride through provision.
