Confucius Classrooms are hubs radiating out across a local authority, based in schools and serving the local community. The hub concept promotes joint planning of cultural activities, sharing ideas and resources to stimulate the learning and teaching of Chinese language and culture.

Model Confucius Institute Award
The Confucius Institute for Scotland's Schools has been awarded the status of Model Confucius Institute by Hanban, the Confucius Institute Headquarters in China. The additional funding and resources this new status brings, as well as the subsequent facilities of a new headquarters, will enable the Confucius Institute for Scotland's Schools to deepen the quality of existing work and develop exciting new projects that will benefit young people in Scotland and China. His Excellency LIU Xiaoming, Ambassador to the UK presented the award at the Confucius Institute for Scotland's Schools recent 5 year anniversary conference.
