The Institute for Inspiring Children’s Futures aims to support children and young people globally in achieving their potential in life.
We bring together the existing expertise of the Centre for Excellence for Looked After Children in Scotland (CELCIS), the Centre for Youth & Criminal Justice (CYCJ) and academics and staff members from across the University of Strathclyde, and beyond. You can find out more about our vision in our brochure.
...The title alone, with the word 'inspire' in it, is enough to cause one to pause and celebrate. That the new Institute will bring sharper focus to underlying causality is critically important to all of our work for children. It is only with this deeper understanding that we are able to address the root of what harms or inhibits health children, and in turn breaks vicious cycles.
