SCELG at the 2022 IUCN Oslo International Environmental Law Conference and the IV International Water Congress

This October, the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law & Governance was represented by Prof Francesco Sindico at two events: the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Oslo International Environmental Law Conference; and the IV International Water Congress in Ourense, Spain.

At the IUCN event, Prof Sindico chaired the parallel session “Transformative legal tool to address climate change (part I)” and contributed to the plenary session “How to Address Climate Change, Pollution and Biodiversity Loss?”. Professor Sindico then delivered a key note speech during the 4th International Water Congress ‘Law and Water in the 2030 Horizon’ on 13 October, in Ourense, Spain. His presentation was titled ‘Groundwater: An invisible natural resource in times of Climate emergency’ and took place on 13 October 2022. On the day of the conference Francesco was interviewed by the local paper “La Voz de Galicia”. The SCELG website also hosts details about his talk.
