The Fulbright Scotland Summer Institute returns for 2022 and is back after a two year gap following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Fulbright programme is one of the most prestigious student mobility programmes in the world and gives a group of 10 undergraduate students from all over North America the opportunity to visit Scotland and take part in a three week academic and cultural programme.
The "Technology, Innovation and Creativity" programme is jointly delivered by the University of Strathclyde and the Glasgow School of Art. This year we have a brilliant group of students from Franklin & Marshall College, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Notre Dame, Marshall University, Mississippi State University, Syracuse University, Ball State University, Whitman College, and Villanova University, who arrived in Scotland on July 15th. The programme is part of the US-UK Fulbright Commission summer school series. The students will have the opportunity visit all four Faculties and they will also get to hear from Sir Harry Burns, former Chief Medical Officer, Scotland and over the next two weeks they will also visit Glasgow City Council Lord Provost, and the U.S. Consulate Edinburgh.
