The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024 has ranked the University of Strathclyde in the UK's top ten for 9 Humanities & Social Sciences subjects.

Subjects making the nationwide top ten are:

  • Communication & Media Studies - 1st in the UK
  • Social Policy - 2nd
  • Politics - 4th
  • Social Work - 4th
  • Subjects allied to medicine - 4th
  • English - 5th
  • Law - 6th
  • History - 9th
  • Psychology - 10th

There were impressive rises in a number of subject areas, with Communication & Media Studies, Social Policy and English now ranking 1st in Scotland.
