Statement of public task
The University of Strathclyde Library, which includes the Archives, is subject to the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulation 2015 (PSI Regulations).
The core role and function of the Library is to deliver high quality information resources and services, through leading edge information technology, which are recognised internationally as innovative, creative and sector-leading. We operate within the context of the Library Strategy and the University Strategic Plan.
Our public task comprises the functions, duties and responsibilities set out in the Library Strategy.
Material held in the Library and covered by our Collection Management Policies falls within the public task and is available for re-use, provided no copyright restrictions or other third party rights apply.
Requests for re-use of information
If you wish to apply for access to our information under the PSI Regulations email ictlegalcompliance@strath.ac.uk and include:
- your name
- your address
- details of the information being requested
- purpose of the re-use
The PSI Regulations only govern the re-use of information held by the Library where no copyright or third party restrictions apply. To obtain copies of personal data, or other information held by the University of Strathclyde please see our Data Protection and Freedom of Information pages.
The University of Strathclyde Library does not charge for the re-use of our information.
Right to refuse
The University of Strathclyde reserves the right to refuse requests for re-use of information under the Regulations where valid exceptions apply. The reason for refusal will be explained, along with details of how to appeal the decision.
Review of Public Task statement
This statement is reviewed biennially and is due to be considered again in 2025. If you have any queries on this public task statement, or a complaint about the PSI Regulations, you can submit them to ictlegalcompliance@strath.ac.uk.
Reprographic charges
