September holiday Monday
Monday 28 September is a local holiday. The Library building will be open as normal but our enquiries desks will be closed.
24-hour opening
24-hour opening in Semester 1:
- Begins at 07:00 on Monday 7 December
- Ends at 19:00 on Friday 18 December
Winter vacation
Winter vacation runs from Monday 21 December to Sunday 10 January.
Opening hours vary throughout winter vacation.
Archives & Special Collections Reading Room
The Archives & Special Collections Reading Room is open by appointment only. Email archives@strath.ac.uk to make an appointment.
Closing bells
If you are studying towards the end of the day, you may hear our closing bells. We ring the closing bells:
- twice approximately 30 minutes before closing
- twice approximately 20 minutes before closing
- three times ten minutes before closing
If the Library is very busy, we may ring the bells again before closing. Please make sure you begin to pack up your things and make your way out of the Library at least ten minutes before we are due to close. This helps our staff make sure the building is securely closed on time.
