What is a career in sustainability

Working in sustainability doesn't just mean environmental conservation.   A career in sustainability could mean working in local or national government; investment banking; social media;or many other industries.

Sustainability is the concept of meeting our needs without compromising the future. It encompasses natural, social and economic resources. There is no single sustainability profession: sustainability encompasses a wide range of technical and non-technical jobs in industry, local and national government and voluntary organisations.

Advice from industry experts suggests that to get into this field you need to do your research and be up-to-date with the latest developments in the field, and you may need to have some work or voluntary experience to show your commitment.
