Recurring Card Payment (RCP) instalment plan for tuition fees
Students are permitted to pay their tuition fees by instalment for all sums equal to or greater than £250.00. Please note that the plan may change in future years.
The instalment plan requires the first payment (minimum one-third) to be paid on or before registration. The remainder of the fee is to be paid in two equal instalments. The RCP plan can be set up during your online registration process.
- Instalment 1: Due on or before the date of registration
- Instalment 2: Due on 1 December 2024
- Instalment 3: Due on 1 March 2025
January starts only:
- Instalment 1: Due on or before the date of registration
- Instalment 2: Due on 1 March 2025
- Instalment 3: Due on 1 May 2025
For high-value transactions, it's strongly recommended that you contact your bank or credit card issuer to notify them you intend to process a transaction for the payment of fees. If, for any reason, your transaction is declined you should contact your card issuer in the first instance.
Amendment cancellation
It is imperative that you contact Finance immediately of any changes which require your RCP plan to be amended or cancelled completely.
If your fees alter or your card details change during the year, you must contact Finance at finance-helpdesk@strath.ac.uk. They will amend your RCP Plan. If you make a manual payment in advance of the due date, it's advisable to contact Finance to prevent a duplicate payment from being collected.
Credit/Debit Card or bank charges for payment of tuition fees
The University will not be liable for any charges incurred as a result of Bank Charges, for example, overdraft or credit card charges applied to the payer’s account.
Problems paying your tuition fees

Non recurring card payment plan for tuition fees
If you're unable to set up an RCP plan, you can still arrange to pay your tuition fee in 3 instalments when completing online registration. Details are below:
- Instalment 1: Due on or before the date of registration
- Instalment 2: Due on 1 December 2024
- Instalment 3: Due on 1 March 2025

- Instalment 2: Due on 1 March 2025
- Instalment 3: Due on 1 May 2025
