Notification of Industrial Action March 2022
UCU (the University and College Union) has called upon its members to take industrial action relating to the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).
The action will take the form of five days of strike action and action short of a strike.
The specific days of strike action notified by UCU are:
- Monday 21 March (Day 1)
- Tuesday 22 March (Day 2)
- Wednesday 23 March (Day 3)
- Thursday 24 March (Day 4)
- Friday 25 March (Day 5)
Staff who are UCU members and who are considering participation in the strike action and action short of strike should note the University's Position on Industrial Action and the Withholding of Pay.
UCU members who choose to participate in strike action and / or action short of strike should complete the required March 2022 Confirmation of Participation in Industrial Action form immediately upon their return to work and by Monday 4 April 2022 at the latest. You must be logged into your Strathclyde account to complete this online form.
UCU members who took part in strike action in February 2022 and who did not complete the required notification already, should do so now using the February 2022 Confirmation of Participation in Industrial Action form.
If you are unable to use this form but still wish to confirm your participation in industrial action, please contact humanresources@strath.ac.uk for an alternative submission method.
