Accounts are free and are approved within 1 working day. There is a charge for each enquiry. If you require further assistance, please email heddhelp@prospects.ac.uk.

Submit a Request

You will need the individual’s name, date of birth, programme, qualification, year of graduation and award.
If you require dates of attendance, please request this at the time of making the enquiry.

If the candidate studied more than one programme, please submit a separate request for each programme of study.

We recommend that you ask to see the graduate’s degree certificate if available and use that as the basis of your verification request or ask the individual to give you their data as they believe it was recorded in the student records system.

The official verification will be sent to you in the body of an email from our generic mailbox verification@strath.ac.uk and we would ask that you do not subsequently contact us to confirm the validity of the verification.

We endeavour to produce academic verifications within 10 working days. This is provided the request meets all of our requirements, including a signed declaration from the student/graduate.

During busy periods (August to September) our turnaround times may be slightly longer. We will fulfil your request as soon as possible.

Please do not email us for an update during our busy times.

If a transcript of studies is required the student should make the request and pay the appropriate fee via our Online Shop. Transcripts will be issued to the student unless the student authorises the transcript to be sent directly to a third party.

Current students have access to an unofficial copy of their transcript which they can download from the University portal - Pegasus.

We are unable to provide personal/character references. It is the student’s responsibility to provide potential employers with the contact details of an academic member of staff who the student has approached and who has agreed to act as a personal referee.

We can certify that your documents were issued by the University to confirm its authenticity.

If you are looking for copies of transcripts/parchment certificates to be legally certified, this has to be signed by a professional or authorised person.

Information on who can legally certify your documents can be found on the GOV.UK site.

No. The student’s name on the degree certificate, including any replacement parchment, should match the student’s official record as held by the University. This is the definitive record of the student and their achievement.

Once you have graduated it is not possible to retrospectively change the name held on your student record or produce documentation in your new name (unless the name change is related to a gender reassignment).

A replacement certificate can only be produced bearing your legal name as it was at the time of your date of award.
