Student LifecycleTranscripts

An academic transcript is an official document which details your academic record at the University of Strathclyde and we cannot omit or alter any information.

A transcript will only show approved results, unapproved results will not appear on the transcript. You are advised to check Curriculum History to ensure your marks are approved prior to purchasing a transcript.

You can purchase transcripts via the Online Shop

The cost for a transcript is £10.00, this cost relates to each award, meaning if you want to purchase a transcript for both an undergraduate degree and a postgraduate degree, the total cost would be £20.00 (£10.00 for each award).

Access to Pegasus is not required to purchase a transcript and you do not need to know your ds username and password.

Our turnaround times may be extended to accommodate University closures.

Due to data protection, the purchase of transcripts by a third party is not permitted. You must purchase your own transcripts, these can be sent to a third party by providing us with the relevant email address.

Before submitting this request, ensure you have enrolled to graduate and received notification of your award through Pegasus.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

A transcript is an official document which is laid out in a standardised format and contains the following information:

  • Name and date of birth
  • University registration number
  • Programme title
  • Academic sessions you attended
  • Mode of attendance (full time/part time/distance learning)
  • All marks/grades achieved, along with Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credit (if available)
  • Class of degree or pass level (if relevant)
  • Award date and graduation date (if relevant)

We aim to produce transcripts as quickly as possible and within 10 working days. However, during peak times, specifically during the graduation period (June/July/November), processing may take longer due to high demand.

Postgraduate transcripts, particularly those relating to the Strathclyde Business School and attendance prior to 1984 are manually produced and may take considerably longer. Please allow 20 working days before contacting us for an update.

UK mail delivery information:

  • Transcripts to UK addresses are sent by Royal Mail standard delivery and usually arrive within 5 working days.
  • Transcripts sent to non-UK addresses by Royal Mail can take considerably longer, we recommend allowing 20 working days for delivery. Tracking information is not available for these deliveries.
  • For an additional fee of £15, you can choose to have your transcript sent by courier (DHL). This service can be purchased via the Online Shop and you will receive tracking information.

Please note that we will not courier post to a PO box address unless it is your only available address.

If you require additional documentation to be sent along with your transcripts, please follow the steps below:

  • order your transcript from the Online Shop
  • send the other documents you need included to transcripts@strath.ac.uk once you receive your order confirmation
  • ensure both steps are completed on the same day and that you include your order number in all email correspondence

If you need other University documents to be sent with your transcript, such as a replacement degree certificate or degree verification letter, please specify this in your email. Certificates, letters, and transcript requests are not processed at the same time or by the same staff member, so will be sent separately unless advised.

If you require your transcripts to be signed and sealed in separate envelopes please confirm this by emailing transcripts@strath.ac.uk, make sure you include your order number(s).

If you want us to send your official transcript(s) to WES (World Education Services), please note that we must include a copy of the standard WES form. We do not use Digitary or Gradintel services.
