What I do as part of my role
I am the Project Manager of the Collaborative Cultures Programme and, as such, a big part of my role is to make sure that we keep all of our plates spinning in the project and to track our progress. In addition, I also have the pleasure of line managing our delivery team and of supporting many of the activities and initiatives from Collaborative Cultures, from our funding calls and interventions to our evaluation and external engagement.
What I’ve enjoyed about the project
The Collaborative Cultures Programme has been an exciting opportunity to try out some new approaches to create more positive research cultures – and it’s been an amazing learning experience for me to pick up new skills and knowledge on many different topics. One of my favourite parts about the project, though, has been working with colleagues from across our Strathclyde research & innovation community. Whether it’s been gaining their input on project activities or supporting them in their own sub-projects funded through Collaborative Cultures, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know other colleagues and learning about the exciting things they’re doing.
Talk to me about…
All things research culture and researcher development! I love learning about other research culture projects in the sector (and beyond) and I’m always happy to talk about what we’ve been learning at Strathclyde – it’s so important to do more sharing of practices and resources across institutions. Another passion of mine from my previous role as Researcher Developer and my own career is research staff (postdoc) support and sustainable researcher careers, so whether it’s a personal career story or innovative support initiative you have in mind, let’s talk.
