Personal statement

Allison is an economist at the Fraser of Allander Institute. She joined the FAI in 2022 while working towards her MSc in Applied Economics. She also has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She previously undertook a fellowship in the Scottish Parliament centred on the employment of disabled people in Scotland.

Her research focuses on socioeconomic inequality, health, labour, and subnational data.

Research Interests

Her research focuses on inequality in Scotland, with special focuses in employment, labour market policy, and health. Her past projects involve researching employability programmes, health inequality, environmental inequality, and poverty dynamics. She has also worked in trade modelling in Northern Ireland, and on projects related to subnational data availability and comparability.
