Personal statement

I am a Professor of Information Science in the Department. I have been involved in teaching and research in Information Science for over 25 years and have taken senior management positions at universities in UK and Australia. This year I finished my term as the Chair, and Past Chair of the global iSchools Organization (www.ischools.org), and member of the Board of Directors of the iSchools Inc. My research focuses on digital libraries and information services trying to understand how people access and use information and data in different contexts. Recent research includes information systems and services for addressing global challenges and sustainable development. I am always looking out for interesting partnerships and good PhD students.
