Personal statement

I am a competition and business lawyer, an expert in State aid and EU, UK, US, comparative antitrust law, and public economic law. I hold a Habilitation and Ph.D. degrees in EU competition law from the University of Łódź, Poland. I participated in numerous international scholarship programmes, including the Senior Fulbright Award, Kosciuszko Foundation Grant (both at the IIT-Kent College of Law in Chicago), the M. Bekker Fellowship (at the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies, Loyola University Chicago), and Newman Fellowship (at the University College Dublin). I worked as a researcher and a Member of the Centre for European Law, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. I am a Member of the International Advisory Board of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies at Loyola University, Chicago, and a Member of the Centre for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies at the University of Warsaw. I am an author of numerous publications in competition law including a triply prized monograph on State Aid for Services of General Economic Interest and a book on Resale Price Maintenance under US and EU law.

I have significant experience in the practical application of State aid and Polish and EU competition law while working for law and consulting firms. I was engaged in numerous antitrust, merger, and State aid proceedings before the Polish and EU Competition Authorities.
