Personal statement

Nasreen Hasan is a doctoral researcher at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation at Strathclyde Business School. Her research examines how women entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia construct entrepreneurial knowledge. Using a feminist critical lens, her work highlights how women navigate sociocultural norms, visibility constraints, and evolving institutional landscapes.

Before joining academia, Nasreen spent 14 years as a Product Development and Marketing Manager in a leading telecommunications company in Bahrain, where she gained extensive industry experience in innovation, customer behaviour, and market strategy. She has also been an entrepreneur herself and currently teaches across entrepreneurship, marketing and business modules. In addition, she serves as a Research Storyteller for the Journal of Business Venturing Insights (JBVI).
