Personal statement

I have been at the forefront of shaping the University’s enterprise support offering since joining Strathclyde in 2005 and have pioneered the launch of several successful programmes and services including the University’s Enterprise Hub, the annual Enterprise Pathway programme and the biennial Enterprise Awards Dinner.  Now the Head of Enterprise, my team delivers a portfolio of activities which identify entrepreneurial talent, support new ventures and celebrate success. I also have strategic oversight of the Enterprise Campus West Hub, led by Strathclyde; an SFC-funded programme designed to support postgraduates from across Scotland with high growth business ideas. Working closely with colleagues in Alumni & Development I have strived to ensure that the University’s global alumni community can add value to the University’s enterprise offering, giving them an opportunity to give back to the next generation of Strathclyde Entrepreneurs.  Leading a cross-departmental team of alumni relations professionals and enterprise staff, I drove the internationalisation of the Strathclyde 100 programme, supporting entrepreneurs in Switzerland, the UAE and Singapore; devised and launched the Strathclyde Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs and led the implementation of the University’s most established alumni volunteering programme, Enterprise Partners.   I received a BA (hons) degree from the University of Strathclyde, where I studied International Business and Modern Languages.
