Personal statement
I joined the School of Government and Public Policy in 2025 as a Research Associate working on the ParliView project. Before this, I worked for two years as a Research Associate and Co-Lead Investigator alongside Dr Rosalind Shorrocks on the Horizon Europe funded project "UNTWIST: Policy Recommendations to Regain the "losers of feminism" as Mainstream Voters". I was awarded a PhD in Media, Culture and Heritage from Newcastle University in 2024.
My research focuses on gender and representation, political communication, and party politics, primarily using computational text analysis methods. I have published research that explores how gender and sexuality issues are mobilised and communicated by political actors and how gender issues and women politicians are represented in the media.
