- A picture tells a thousand words: Using photo essays to enhance experiential learning in HE – Business studies.
- Bourkel, Tom (Principal Investigator) Mendes, Anthea (Co-investigator) Finlay, Brian Stuart (Researcher)
- The project aims to evaluate photo essays as a teaching and learning tool in a higher educational setting. Photo essays require fieldwork, a practical data collection technique, engagement with an organisational environment, demonstrating communication skills, and a theoretical reflection, thus are perfectly suited to support experiential learning. Visual methods are an underutilized assessment methodology within business schools, therefore this project hopes to develop a set of recommendation on the practicalities and benefits of using reflective photo essays for experiential learning.
