Personal statement

I work on low-T power generation and "waste" recovery systems by designing and modelling energy systems and thermal processes. Wastes in heat, agro-industrial residues, municipal wastes, and fibre-reinforced composites (FRCs) are valorised in the final products such as electricity, heating, cooling, H2, and carbon or glass fibres. My current activity is testing and modelling the thermal processes for recycling wind turbine blade wastes. I am also interested in low-grade ORC for WHR and CCHP.

Projects

Computational Fluid Dynamics to Elucidate Nasal Distribution of Targeted Patient Administered Nanomedicines for Brain Diseases
Osouli Bostanabad, Karim (Principal Investigator) Terziev, Momchil (Academic) Lalatsa, Aikaterini (Academic) Moradi, Ramin (Principal Investigator) Lawson, Christopher (Principal Investigator) Das, Debanjan (Principal Investigator)
This transdisciplinary project is bold and innovative. ECRs from engineering, nanomedicine and pharmaceutical sciences, and manufacturing will address a challenging scientific problem towards a computational model for understanding advanced continuous manufacture and nasal deposition of particulate medicines to critical nasal mucosa regions for effective brain targeting that would be validated by experimental data.
