Personal statement

I am a theoretical physicist working at the intersection of quantum information, many-body physics, and quantum control. My research explores the fundamental behavior of quantum systems composed of many interacting particles, and how to control these systems to develop new technologies like quantum computing, quantum simulation, and quantum sensing.

In my work, I study many-body quantum systems both analytically and numerically to uncover universal properties that govern their emergent behavior – from dynamical phase transitions to quantum signatures of chaos. I also develop practical quantum control methods that combine natural system interactions with external driving to create useful quantum states.

Before joining the Computational Nonlinear and Quantum Optics (CNQO) group at the University of Strathclyde, I was a Research Professor at the Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC) at the University of New Mexico. I did my PhD under the supervision of Diego Wisniacki and Fernando Lombardo at the Physics Department of the University Buenos Aires' School of Exact and Natural Sciences

I am passionate about collaborative work, particularly accross international and disciplinary boundaries. I work closely with experimental teams to translate theoretical insights into practical implementations. I have also organized international courses and conferences, and regularly give invited talks at institutions across three continents.

Since October 2025, I am a Royal Society University Research Fellow and I am building my research group with the goal of establishing new theoretical paradigms for quantum technologies based on the theories of quantum chaos and control. I believe that quantum technologies will revolutionize how we understand and manipulate the physical world, and I am excited to contribute to this transformation through both fundamental research and the development of emerging talent in the field.
