Personal statement

Godsway Korku Tetteh is a Knowledge Exchange Associate at the Fraser of Allander Institute at the University of Strathclyde. Previously, he worked for the Financial Regulation Innovation Lab as a Research Associate and the Financial Technology (FinTech) Cluster at the same university. He has dedicated the last 10 years to active research on digital transformation and how emerging technologies are shaping economic development and financial inclusion in developing countries. His recent research projects examined the impact of digital technologies and financial innovation (FinTech) on welfare and private sector development in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to research, he has active engagement with the policy community. Godsway worked with the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance to build the capacity of regulators and policymakers from across the globe in FinTech and regulatory innovation. He shared his research insights with international development organisations and recently served on an international panel of experts to discuss FinTech and financial inclusion realities. Godsway has a Ph.D. in Economics from Maastricht University and published in reputable journals such as Small Business Economics and World Development.
