Teaching
Lecturing and course development experience includes:
- Lecturer for the master's level class EE574/EE874/EE974 High Voltage Technology and Electromagnetic Compatibility
- Mentor for the first year EE105 Electronic and Electrical Techniques and Design Small Group Seminars - with a focus on Sustainability, Ethics, and EDI in Engineering.
Involved as a lecturer for the in-country delivery of the High Voltage Technology module under the China Teaching Programme (CTP) in partnership with the North East Electric Power University (NEEPU) in Jilin, China.
Teaching experience additionally includes acting as a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator for the following classes:

Research Interests
Research interests primarily focuses on the mixed and multi-disciplinary use of analytical, computational and experimental methods for:
- The dynamics of impulse-driven breakdown events in composite dielectric systems, with a focus on novel pulsed power and plasma-based applications.
- Computational modelling of fast ionisation events and physical mechanisms relating to pulsed nanosecond discharges and other gas discharge phenomena.
- HV insulation coordination, with particular interest in novel developments of composite insulator technology; particularly for pulsed power applications.
- Fundamental characteristics and emerging applications of low temperature plasmas.
- Innovative mathematical and numerical methods that may significantly benefit the future modelling of complex physical phenomena.
