From time to time organisations request verification of current and past students’ attendance and qualifications. These organisations include: prospective employers, employment and screening agencies, other Higher Education institutions, local authorities and Government bodies.

Often the purpose of these requests is to verify and confirm qualifications, graduation, dates/mode of attendance, and/or courses taken. The disclosure of this data is strictly limited to a student’s period of study, programme of study, degree classification (if applicable) and will not be disclosed without express consent from the student.

3rd Party Request

We will only be able to deal with your request if it is accompanied by an appropriate declaration signed by the student/graduate.

Please send a separate request for each verification you require. If the candidate studied more than one programme, please submit an academic verification request for each programme of study.

Submit your request to verification@strath.ac.uk and ensure that the subject line of your email reads as follows:

  • Student surname
  • Student forename
  • Degree awarded
  • Student date of birth in dd/mm/yy format

The confirmation will be sent to you in the body of an email from our generic mailbox verification@strath.ac.uk.

Please note that for security reasons we will not confirm details over the telephone.

Please allow sufficient time for the verification to be produced (approximately 7-10 working days.

Student Request
