Temporary Accommodation

To guarantee a comfortable start to your stay in Glasgow, we recommend securing temporary accommodation in advance, particularly if you plan to arrive before your booked accommodation's designated check-in date.

Important note: Accommodation providers typically adhere to strict arrival windows. Arriving early may result in you being unable to access your room.

To avoid any last-minute panic, especially during peak student arrival periods, we advise booking temporary accommodation for at least two weeks if you don't have your accommodation arranged.  This ensures you have a secure place to stay while you finalise your longer-term housing arrangements.

By planning ahead, you can alleviate any unnecessary stress upon arrival and experience a seamless transition to your new Glasgow home.

University Halls of Residence

The University of Strathclyde offers a variety of on-campus accommodation options conveniently located within Glasgow's city centre. This 'Strathlife' experience fosters a vibrant student community and provides easy access to academic resources and campus amenities.

By residing on campus, you'll enjoy a streamlined transition to university life, surrounded by fellow students and immersed in the heart of Glasgow's dynamic city centre.

You can apply for your place in University Accommodation online after you have received a conditional offer of study from the University.

Visit our Accommodation webpages for full information on the application process, eligibility and how to apply.
