Summary
Two full tuition scholarships are available for LLM Law, Technology & Innovation for 2026/27 academic year. These scholarships are available to applicants ordinarily resident in Scotland or ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands throughout the three years immediately before joining these courses. These scholarships have been made possible with funding from the Data Lab and Scottish Funding Council.
Applicants will be considered for this scholarship using the information provided on the application form and will be awarded on a competitive basis using the statement of motivation. Please be sure to reference the 'Data Lab Scholarship' in your application.

Please note
Please be advised that this scholarship is administered by Data Lab. If you're successful in your application then some information will be shared with Data Lab. This is a condition of scholarship. Your contact details i.e. name and University email address will be provided by the University to Data Lab, for the purposes of administering the LLM course. The ESF Participant Form which you must complete advises that your data will be used by the University for ‘reporting and monitoring purposes and shared with relevant agencies.’ The ‘relevant agencies’ in this instance are Data Lab and the Scottish Funding Council.
Funding is provided by The Scottish Funding Council via The Data Lab. If you are not eligible for support under the general residence conditions, you may still be eligible for support under one of the exceptions to the ordinary residence conditions. How to apply
Please note, you can only apply for this scholarship if you are a student who has the right to live and work in the UK AND whose ordinary place of residence has been in Scotland, the UK or Islands for at least three years (not in full-time education) holding an offer of admission for the LLM Law, Technology & Innovation in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for 2026/27 academic year. If you normally live elsewhere and you've returned to the UK or Scotland to study, you may not be able to receive funding.
Applicants must be ordinarily resident in Scotland at the time of application.
Applications should be made on the Data Lab website via the relevant form. As part of your personal statement you will be asked to include a 300 word statement to support your scholarship application.
