Summary

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer a number of Deans Excellence scholarships worth £10,000 to international students joining one of our Postgraduate Taught Masters programmes in September 2026.

All eligible international offer holders will automatically be considered for a scholarship, therefore no separate scholarship application is required.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open now for all international (non-EU) Postgraduate Taught Masters students joining eligible programmes within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences in September 2026.

Important things to note

  • Separate applications are not necessary and you will be automatically considered based on your programme application and supporting documents.
  • To be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time attendance course in the 2026/27 academic year.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Online, blended learning programmes, PG Diplomas, PG Certificates, PGDE, MSW Social Work and MSc Secondary Education programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in September 2026 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
