Summary

To mark the conclusion of our Diamond Jubilee year, the University is offering our Strathclyde Diamond Jubilee Scholarships to all international students joining our full-time on campus, postgraduate taught programmes in January 2025.

These scholarships will be awarded automatically with a value of £6,000/£7,000. You will receive confirmation of the award via an award letter once payment of deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall fees. No further scholarship application is necessary.

Applications remain open for January 2025 programmes and all new applications will be considered for this scholarship. 

Please note: Postgraduate Taught applicants who wish to be considered must apply by no later than 31st January 2025 for January 2025 entry.

Eligibility

Awards will also be assessed on applicants' potential to make both a significant contribution to the Strathclyde community during their studies and in their chosen profession upon graduation.

Important things to note

  • To be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time attendance course in the January 2025.
  • Postgraduate taught applicants who wish to be considered must apply by no later than 31st January 2025 for January 2025 entry.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences' scholarships are only open for self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course. Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible to apply.
  • Online and blended learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • Scholarships are competitive and will be awarded on a rolling basis.  Awards may be allocated early in the applications cycle.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in January 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
