Summary

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer a number of Deans Excellence scholarships worth £5,000 per year of study to international students joining one of our Undergraduate programmes in September 2025.

The scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their UCAS application, potential to succeed in their chosen programme. (This may include academic performance (current and/or previously gained) where grades may be available, or academic references where non-standard qualifications are being taken, responses to UCAS application form questions and any relevant extra-curricular personal development or experience).

 

Eligibility

Awards will be assessed on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their UCAS application potential to succeed in their chosen programme.

Important things to note

  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences' scholarships are only open for self-funded, international fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course. 
  • All international offer holders will be automatically considered for an award.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • £5,000 will be awarded for each year of study.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in September 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
