Summary

Scholarships of £1,500 are available to new UK fee-paying students joining an eligible postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in September 2026.

Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who demonstrate excellent academic performance (current and/ or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle and so making an early application for admission is advised.

Eligibility

To be considered for a Faculty of Science Masters Scholarship for UK Fee-paying Students, candidates must:

  • Be a new student holding an offer of admission for an on campus, Postgraduate Taught Masters degree in the Faculty of Science for September 2026 entry.
  • Be eligible for tuition fees at the Home or RUK fee rate.

Terms and conditions

  • Applicants must meet all of the above eligibility criteria to be considered for a Faculty of Science Masters Scholarship for UK Fee-paying Students.
  • Awardees must register on an on-campus Faculty of Science Masters degree for September 2026 entry and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria. The scholarship cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points. 
  • The scholarship will be awarded towards the payment of a student’s tuition fee. Students studying part-time will receive a £750 award in their first and second year of study, subject to academic progression.
  • Successful candidates will be selected on their academic performance (current and/or previously gained), any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience alongside their scholarship application form.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle.
  • The deadline for consideration is 31 August 2026.
  • Applicants who have been awarded a scholarship will be notified within four weeks of submitting a scholarship application form. Applicants who have not been notified of receiving a scholarship within four weeks of application will remain under consideration for an award until 31 August 2026.
  • Students are only eligible to hold one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • The Faculty of Science's decision on the awarding of scholarships is final. Appeals will not be considered.
