Summary

Strathclyde Business School is pleased to offer a number of Dean's Excellence Awards to international students joining one of our Postgraduate Taught Masters programmes in September 2026.  The scholarships, worth between £10,000 and £12,000 will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience (applicants are encouraged to provide a CV with their programme application, highlighting any work experience, internships and/or voluntary work).  All eligible international offer holders will automatically be considered for a scholarship and contacted before 31 August 2026 if successful.  A separate scholarship application is not required. 

Eligibility

Important things to note

  • Candidates must be self-funded (ie. not in receipt of any funding from any other scholarships, employer sponsorship, etc) and already hold an offer of a place on an SBS MSc programme for the September 2026 intake and also be deemed International with regards to Fee Status.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Online and blended learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis from December 2025 onwards and the deadline for consideration of applications will be 31st August 2026. 
  • Strathclyde Business School's decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.

Scholarship awardees will also be expected to engage with a variety of activities during their course of study, including:

  • Monitoring and contributing to future applicant forums and responding with information regarding the relevant course
  • Taking an active role in either the social committee or class rep committee
  • Volunteering as an admissions contact for prospective students
  • Assisting the school in the development and management of events
  • Retaining alumni communication post MSc completion
