We are delighted to offer scholarships of £7000 to help support International Masters students joining one of our Department of Economics online programmes in September 2026.

To be considered, candidates must be deemed International for course fee status and hold an offer of a place on one of the Department of Economics online programmes for the September 2026 intake. 

All candidates who hold a programme offer will be automatically considered, therefore no separate scholarship application is required. 

Eligibility

To be considered for an SBS International Online Masters Scholarship, candidates must:

  • be a new student holding an offer of admission for an online MSc in the Department of Economics for September 2026 entry.
  • be self-funded. Students who receive full scholarships, for example from a government office or embassy, will not be eligible.

Terms and conditions

  • Applicants must meet all of the above eligibility criteria to be considered for this Online Masters Scholarship.
  • Awardees must register on an online SBS Department of Economics Online Masters degree for September 2026 entry and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria throughout their studies. The scholarships cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points. 
  • SBS Online Masters degrees are studied part-time over two years. The scholarship will be awarded towards the payment of a student’s tuition fee as a £3500 award in each of the two years of study, subject to academic progression.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle.
  • The deadline for consideration is 31 August 2026.
  • Students are only eligible to hold one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Strathclyde Business School’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final. Appeals will not be considered.
