Summary

To celebrate the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow, we are delighted to offer scholarships to all eligible postgraduate taught, self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying students, joining an on-campus course in the Faculty of Science in September 2025.

The value of these scholarship awards is £5,000 and will be deducted from your tuition fees. 

This scholarship will be awarded automatically and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of deposit has been received and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall tuition fees. 

Following the deadline of 31 May 2025, the first phase of scholarships will be reviewed and more may be released.

Eligibility

  • The value of the Science: Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarships, September 2025 is £5,000 and will be deducted from your fees. 
  • The scholarships are available for eligible self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course on-campus, starting September 2025. The scholarships cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points. 
  • These scholarships will be awarded automatically and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall fees. 
  • Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • In order to be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study on a full-time postgraduate taught, on-campus course for September 2025 entry.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Students who do not meet any of the required criteria will automatically not be considered.
  • The Faculty of Science’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
