Summary

To recognise academic excellence, the University of Strathclyde offers the Strathclyde Excellence Scholarship. Undergraduate students who are paying a tuition fee of £9,250 per year and achieve AAB or above at A Level (or equivalent) will receive £1,000 in each year of study at the University.

Further information

  • Eligible students will be identified automatically through their University application.
  • Before the end of September 2022, eligible students will receive an email to their University of Strathclyde email address telling them they will receive the award
  • The email will include the payment dates and how it will be paid to you.
  • Where a student does not have A-Level qualifications (for example students with Irish Leaving Certificates), the A level equivalence will be calculated using UCAS Tariff Points (136 tariff points) based on the qualifications a student holds at the equivalent level to A-Level. In the case of Irish Leaving Certificates, these will be Higher Level Certificates. 
  • Students can check their UCAS Tariff Points using the online calculator provided by UCAS

Payment of the scholarship will be made in 3 termly instalments. (you will be asked to supply your bank details in the award email).
