The Strathclyde MBA is practice-focused, built on rigorous foundations, and develops responsible leaders of the future. During your studies you will engage with experts on modules organised around building capabilities, strategy in practice, and responsible leadership, with opportunities to engage in numerous real-world challenges such as the Consulting Impact Challenge and the Boardroom challenge. You’ll upskill in a range of concepts and ways of thinking, be exposed to how this is used in practice, and have the opportunity to develop and reflect on your character as a leader.
The Strathclyde MBA
Strathclyde MBA students can choose between three pathways for their capstone project: research; consulting and entrepreneurial.
Research
On the research pathway you will formulate a question and be supported by one of our experts to realise your ambition in answering your enquiry.
Consultancy
The consultancy pathway, supported by academics and Global Practitioners with real consultancy experience, involves engaging with a live client who faces a current challenge and using your skills to provide them with advice and support, communicated through a consultancy report.
Entrepreneurial
The entrepreneurial pathway gives you the opportunity to realise your entrepreneurial ambitions, both with the support of a supervisor and using the resources and expertise of Strathclyde Inspire. Combined with our Entrepreneurial Thinking and Practice module, this pathway offers extensive opportunities for entrepreneurial development.
The Strathclyde MBA offers a distinctive advantage through its partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). All students can benefit from full CMI membership throughout the programme and beyond, gaining access to valuable professional resources and networks. The MBA is dual-accredited, meaning you will graduate not only with a world-class degree but also with a respected professional CMI qualification. By completing the CMI Certificate or Diploma pathway, you will achieve Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) status, positioning you firmly on the pathway to full Chartered Manager recognition and enhancing your leadership credibility from day one.
The University of Strathclyde is the place of useful learning.
